This 10 inch Gentleman’s Dovetail Saw is the perfect saw for cutting dovetails and completing other detailed work. The back is rolled solid brass and 1/2 inch wide by 0.160 inch thick. The folded brass back means the blade is held under tension offering excellent rigidity and balance. The weight of the brass back also aids in the fine cutting ability of this saw. The saw plate is 0.022 inches thick with just 0.003 inch set per side for a smooth and controlled cut making the overall kerf 0.028 inches wide. The handle is made from solid Walnut. Blade depth is 1-5/8 inches with 20 TPI. Saw plate is made from high carbon allow steel for durability and ease of sharpening. The teeth can be resharpened.
